What's New Santa Clara, California, April 7, 2003 Maple-133 with 33% more power than its predecessor, was officially publicly announced today. Although available for some time to our major customers, this announcement now allows the general public to purchase the more powerful Maple-133. The original Maple Processor operated at 100 MHz but with the newer 486 compatible CPU in the Maple-133 Processor, it operates at a faster 133 MHz. Maple-133 Processor is ideal for the embedded controller applications that need a boost in CPU performance. Maple-133 Processor, like the original Maple, is compatible with such operating systems as Windows CE 2.0, Windows 98se, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 95, Windows 3.1, DOS 6.22, UNIX, LINUX, and QNX. Maple-133 Processor not only drastically reduces system cost, but also shortens time-to-market, due to its high level of integration. Both Maple and Maple-133 Processor have a CPU bus frequency of 33 MHz. The two versions have the same BGA footprint but differ in just one non-signal solder ball connection. As in the original Maple, ACC Micro is committed to providing long-term product Support and Availability. |
